Job description

Thursday - Sunday or Friday - Monday
12:00 pm-11:00 pm
Individualized Tasks
  • PA Gemba: Weekly Review of a Process area in the building.
  • Hour by Hour Monitoring: With the roll-out of new Hour by Hour boards in Gate 1, NLS manager will be the Tier 0 as part of the layered audit. Tracking and reporting based on feedback from the Tier 1 and Tier 2 audits.
  • Area Audit: All zones (final TBD) within the building will be audited at a standard cadence. Review focused on Safety, 5S, and Muda.
  • 5S Audit: Daily 5S audit of areas within building. This would also include non-production areas.
  • PAO Audit: Review of existing PAO board for process adherence and report to OMs.
  • Team Building Exercise: Work with supervisors and OMs to identify opportunities for morale improvement with an additional focus on identifying underutilized talent in the workforce.
  • Business Analyst Check-in: Daily check in with supporting BA for issues or needs.
  • Training Team Workshop: Weekly Session to get needs from Weekend Training team for gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Continuous Improvement Manager
Job Description
The Continuous Improvement Manager leads the vision, strategy, and execution plan for the organization by building capability that establishes a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. The Manager leads site level adherence to the principles of Lean and OMS (Operation Management System) strategic plans.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, training, and workshops to drive cultural change.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing/business and assembly issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design and create process documentation.
  • Identifies and implements cost reductions in pursuit of continuous improvement programs
  • Carry out data collection and analysis for process mapping.
  • Partners with the customer on containment actions in production, and corrective actions to improve outgoing product quality.
  • Develop budgets and cost analysis to determine project feasibility.
  • Drive value stream mapping to define current state and transition to future state.
  • Develop and conduct compliance audits, program evaluations, and reviews to drive results with the fortitude to ensure change is permanent.
  • Manage multiple areas with multiple priorities and multiple stakeholders daily.
  • Guide the direction for the facility, as an internal expert and consultant in continuous improvement best practices
  • Build and foster relationships with the customer and work with them to deliver Lean and OMS principles and deliverables.
  • Support employees at all levels by mentoring and training in Lean and OMS methodologies.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, required
  • Greenbelt Six Sigma or Lean experience, required
  • 1+ years experience of continuous improvement experience required
