Sales Manager – Field Sales Division

Role Overview

The Sales Manager is responsible for building, developing, and leading a high-performing field sales team that consistently generates qualified appointments and revenue opportunities.

This role owns hiring, training, daily execution, and performance accountability for the team. Success is measured by consistent lead generation, rep development, and predictable pipeline output.

The Sales Manager directly manages 6–8 Field Representatives and is responsible for turning entry-level talent into disciplined, productive performers.

Key Responsibilities1. Team Building & Staffing
  • Recruit, interview, and hire 6–8 field representatives

  • Maintain full team capacity at all times

  • Build a consistent candidate pipeline for growth and backfill

  • Set clear expectations on activity, standards, and performance from day one

2. Training & Development
  • Deliver structured onboarding using Fortitude’s sales system

  • Train and reinforce:

    • Door approach and communication

    • Script execution

    • Objection handling

    • Appointment-setting standards

  • Conduct ongoing field coaching and ride-alongs

  • Develop reps into consistent, reliable producers

3. Performance Management & Accountability
  • Run daily huddles to set expectations and track performance

  • Enforce activity and production standards:

    • Doors knocked

    • Conversations

    • Appointments set

    • Appointment quality

  • Address underperformance immediately with clear corrective action

  • Maintain consistent weekly output across the team

4. Field Execution & Standards
  • Maintain active presence in the field

  • Observe and coach real interactions in real time

  • Ensure reps consistently represent Fortitude with professionalism and energy

  • Enforce execution standards at the door

5. Pipeline Ownership
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality appointments to the sales team

  • Ensure lead quality meets company standards (no low-intent appointments)

  • Align with sales team to improve conversion and feedback loops

  • Own weekly team production results

6. Culture & Retention
  • Build and maintain a competitive, performance-driven environment
