Job description

Finance Admin Payroll Specialist                                                                                          

Located in SKIL Parsons KS Office

Summary

Perform all functions related to administrative payroll and part of the financial functions of the Agency.
This will be performed through the Agency’s online HR/payroll system and computerized
accounting system that includes: accounts payable, payroll, general ledger and check register.

Provide and maintain complete and accurate financial records.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Process and validate semi-monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy with employee data, time files, benefits, deductions and wages.
  2. Maintain Agency’s computerized accounting program, adding and updating information as needed.
  3. Calculate, report and submit all Federal and State taxes through the electronic Tax Payment System.
  4. Compile, balance and file quarterly reports for Federal and State taxes.
  5. Prepare annual W-2, W-3 and 1099 forms for end of year reporting.
  6. Prepare and submit 941 reports.
  7. Prepare and process various reports for audits and management.
  8. Coordinate direct deposit transfer with management for appropriate banking facility.
  9. Submit payroll deductions such as insurance and court appointed withholdings from payroll to appropriate entities.
  10. Work collaboratively with the Fiscal Operations Specialist and Human Resources Dept. on resolving issues with payroll deductions regarding insurance coverages and benefits.

Job Requirements

  1. Experience with computer accounting or bookkeeping
  2. Three or more years of Payroll experience with the Essential Job Functions described above
  3. Knowledge and experience with various computer programs
  4. Clear background checks
  5. Due to the nature of this position, confidentiality in performing job duties is imperative
