The Field Operations Manager, Large Projects, is responsible for the successful execution of GC facing projects in the local region. Reporting to the Operations Manager for the local office, the Field Operations Manager oversees all aspects of their assigned projects and teams to complete the awarded work. This person will set deadlines, assign responsibilities, as well as monitor and summarize the progress of projects per company's standards. Other responsibilities include assisting the Sales and Engineering teams as required to properly bid and design solutions the field team can successfully execute. They will be responsible for the review of individual team members’ performance to ensure company defined targets and expectations are achieved.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of reports for upper management regarding status of backlog
  • Lead and direct team members
  • Ensure proper resources (labor, materials, equipment, etc.) are in place to support the execution of projects in an efficient and timely manner
  • Coordinate with Project Managers during project initiation to confirm pre-deployment requirements are completed and the project kickoff is successful
  • Enhance department and organization reputation, both internally and externally
  • Provide mentorship and strategic guidance; help resolve project-level issues and remove obstacles
  • Support staff in maintaining project timelines using internal tools, best practices, and subject matter expertise
  • Collaborate with leadership to generate accurate forecasts for both revenue and staffing needs across upcoming projects
  • Participate as a member of the Bid Management Office to review quotes, as required
  • Report on resource use. Includes assigning/forecasting labor, material, and subcontractor needs
  • Participate in and /or lead weekly WIP reviews for assigned projects
  • Assist Sales and Engineering in procurement of new work
  • Ensure that all direct reports follow policies and procedures
  • Assisting upstream management in the development of improved policies and procedures
  • Review labor assignments daily to ensure technicians and resources possess the proper skillsets required for task success.
  • Other tasks as required by the company

Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing projects, ideally in data center or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Strong background in physical security, including planning and implementation.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Extensive working knowledge of security technologies such as:
  1. Access control systems
  2. Surveillance/CCTV systems
  3. Intrusion detection systems
  4. Lock Systems
  5. Network Infrastructure
  6. Intercom System Deployment
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate effectively, and work across departments.
