About the Role
We are seeking a talented and results-oriented sales leader with proven experience in event sales and sales management. This individual will combine strategic thinking, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for relationship building to drive revenue growth across the JIS Events portfolio.
The Sales Manager will oversee all aspects of event sales, leading a team focused on achieving and exceeding exhibit space, sponsorship, and advertising revenue goals. This role will play a critical part in developing and executing sales strategies, coaching team members, expanding market opportunities, and ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives of the JIS portfolio.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to develop targeted sales strategies that build strong pipelines of qualified prospects and drive exhibit space, sponsorship, and advertising revenue across assigned events.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team through ongoing training, performance management, and professional development initiatives that strengthen value-based selling skills and drive consistent results.
  • Partner closely with marketing, event operations, and sponsorship teams to identify and execute integrated sales opportunities that maximize exhibitor engagement and event revenue.
  • Provide regular sales reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis to senior leadership, ensuring visibility into pipeline activity, revenue attainment, and future growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand exhibitor participation, increase customer retention, and grow market share within key industry segments.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market research, competitive analysis, and industry engagement, making recommendations to enhance sales performance and event growth.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform sales strategy and support business planning.
