About the Role

Disney is seeking an innovative and entrepreneurial Director, DTC Creator Partnerships to build and scale Disney's global Creator Studio-a strategic capability designed to accelerate audience growth, deepen fan engagement, and drive direct-to-consumer value through creator-led content.

Reporting to the VP, Creator Partnerships, this leader will define the Creator Studio strategy, operating model, and global creator ecosystem, partnering across Marketing, Product, Programming, Analytics, Legal, and International teams to develop scalable creator programs, original content franchises, and audience growth initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines deep creator economy expertise with strong business acumen, operational excellence, and a passion for building high-performing organizations in a fast-moving digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Creator Studio Leadership

  • Build and scale Disney's global Creator Studio, defining its strategy, operating model, and long-term roadmap.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team across creator partnerships, production, creative strategy, and operations.

  • Establish scalable workflows, governance, resource planning, and performance standards that enable global growth.

Creator Strategy & Partnerships

  • Develop and execute Disney's creator partnership strategy, cultivating relationships with creators, talent representatives, agencies, and strategic partners.

  • Identify and launch creator-led franchises, content partnerships, and new audience growth opportunities.

  • Lead complex partnership negotiations, licensing agreements, and commercial models.

Content & Audience Strategy

  • Define creator-led programming that increases audience acquisition, engagement, retention, and fandom across Disney's streaming platforms.

  • Translate audience insights, cultural trends, and platform behavior into scalable content strategies while preserving creator authenticity and Disney's brand standards.

  • Design and optimize creator incentive programs that drive long-term creator engagement and ecosystem growth.

Business Performance

  • Own performance metrics across audience growth, engagement, watch time, creator success, and business impact.

  • Partner with Analytics to identify emerging opportunities, optimize content investment, and inform strategic decisions.

  • Develop forecasting models that align creator supply with business priorities and growth objectives.

Enterprise Leadership

  • Partner across Product, Marketing, Programming, Legal, Finance, Technology, and International teams to drive execution and alignment.

  • Influence executive stakeholders through strategic recommendations, performance insights, and business cases.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in creator partnerships, digital media, social content, streaming, entertainment, or consumer technology.

  • 5+ years leading and developing high-performing teams.

  • Demonstrated success building and scaling creator, content, or digital media organizations, programs, or operating models.

  • Deep understanding of the creator economy, social platforms, audience behavior, and emerging digital media trends.

  • Proven experience developing creator partnerships, negotiating commercial agreements, and managing talent relationships.

  • Experience defining audience growth strategies using performance analytics, consumer insights, and experimentation.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across Product, Marketing, Content, Technology, Legal, and Finance.

  • Strong business acumen with experience translating data and market insights into strategic recommendations.

  • Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proven ability to influence and drive alignment across highly matrixed organizations without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in streaming, media, entertainment, gaming, or creator-focused businesses.

  • Experience launching creator-led franchises, original IP, or creator ecosystems at scale.

  • Experience designing creator incentive programs, monetization strategies, or partnership frameworks.

  • Experience leading global creator initiatives across multiple markets.

  • Passion for digital culture, emerging platforms, and the future of creator-led entertainment.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $153,200 to $205,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
