Medical Device Dimensional Quality Inspector

Business Unit Description:
The Quality Assurance business unit is responsible for ensuring all products meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. The team supports manufacturing operations by performing inspections, managing nonconformances, and driving continuous improvement to ensure product reliability and on-time delivery
Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:
Performs inspections with minimal supervision and demonstrates proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and operating inspection equipment in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections independently
  • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
  • Set up and operate inspection equipment:
    • Optical Comparators
    • Keyence Vision Systems
    • Digital indicators and comparators
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and document results
  • Use air gages and basic profilometers for dimensional and surface checks
  • Generate and document NCMRs and support investigations
  • Ensure all data is recorded accurately for traceability and audits

Minimum Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma (technical training preferred)
  • 2-5 years of inspection experience
  • Working knowledge of GD&T
  • Experience with inspection tools and equipment

Travel Requirements:
  • Up to 10% of travel may be required.

Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience in medical device or regulated industry
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle, Agile)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
