Job description

DC Fabricators (DCF) is seeking a talented Dimensional Inspector to join our team. This is an on-site position reporting to our manufacturing facility in Florence, NJ.
At DCF, youโ€™ll be part of a skilled team that delivers high-quality, made-to-spec components where precision, reliability, and customer focus matter. Whether youโ€™re driving results in the office or making them happen on the shop floor, youโ€™ll collaborate across departments to solve problems, support efficient operations, and help ensure every component is completed safely, accurately, and with precision!
Essential Duties of the Dimensional Inspector:
โ€ข Perform dimensional inspections on parts, assemblies, and fabrications in accordance with drawings, route cards, and specifications.
โ€ข Set up and conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, tape measures, layout tools, and optical equipment.
โ€ข Review purchase orders and inspection requirements for parts received from outside vendors to ensure compliance.
โ€ข Perform surveillance of material identification in shop and storage areas, ensuring proper segregation of materials.
โ€ข Maintain calibration programs for inspection equipment, tools, and gauges.
โ€ข Visit vendor facilities to perform inspections and verify quality of outsourced work.
โ€ข Work with customer representatives and government inspectors to complete required inspection hold points.
โ€ข Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation, including preparation of written reports.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with all applicable quality standards and procedures.
โ€ข Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education amp; Skills Requirements:
โ€ข High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in dimensional inspection or NDT preferred.
โ€ข Completion of an apprenticeship program is a plus.
โ€ข Minimum two (2) years of dimensional inspection experience in an industrial or machine shop environment required.
โ€ข Knowledge of dimensional inspection principles and their application in manufacturing environments.
โ€ข Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining drawings.
โ€ข Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
โ€ข Ability to work independently and apply initiative to complete inspections and audits.
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills.
โ€ข Computer skills required, including working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
โ€ข US Citizenship required at time of hire.
