NeoGenomics is looking for an Enterprise Director of Hematopathology who wants to learn to continue to learn to allow our company to grow. This is an onsite position, preferably in Aliso Viejo, CA, but can be based out of any NeoGenomics site.
Position Summary:
As the Enterprise Director of Hematopathology you will be a strategic medical leader who provides enterprise-level oversight and functional leadership for a dynamic, multi-site hematopathology organization spanning onsite (wet and dry laboratory) and remote settings. You will establish standards for diagnostic excellence, harmonizes diagnostic workflows across sites, ensures exceptional quality, and elevates customer experience while partnering with laboratory operations, Product Development, and commercial teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide enterprise leadership and functional oversight for hematopathology services across all sites
  • Drives diagnostic excellence across morphology (bone marrow/peripheral blood and lymphoma services) and flow cytometry reporting
  • Partners with functional leaders in cytogenetics, FISH, and molecular pathology to ensure best-in-class integrated reporting
  • Serves as the manager of hematopathology leaders from all sites, ensures appropriate staffing across sites, and establishes consistent policies for workload and case assignment
  • Serves as a hematopathology thought leader internally and externally
  • Drives innovation in hematopathology and flow cytometry
  • Supports broader enterprise initiatives in digital transformation
  • Ensures effective communication and collaboration between medical staff and lab personnel
  • May provide training throughout the organization, including to new members who are not direct reports or to allied non-medical personnel
  • Provides ongoing feedback and annual performance evaluations to direct reports
  • Performs onsite diagnostic interpretation of hematopathology cases, inclusive of morphology, flow cytometry, FISH, cytogenetics, and integrated case reporting
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
  • M.D. or D.O. degree and board certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology and subspeciality boards in Hematopathology are required
  • At least eight years of attending level, post-fellowship experience in hematopathology is required
  • Experience or fellowship training in FISH, cytogenetics, and/or molecular diagnostic studies is preferable
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Active, or eligibility for, unrestricted Medical License to practice in the states of CA, FL, and NY is required
