Our client located in Chicago, Illinois needs a Dental Patient Care Coordinator. This is a remote direct hire opportunity. Must live in the area for training.

Benefits Verification Specialist Role
The Dental Benefits Verification Specialist will be responsible for completing high volume dental insurance verifications and benefits breakdowns from start to finish.
This person will independently manage assigned patient verifications, obtain detailed benefits information from insurance carriers, complete accurate benefits breakdowns, and enter all necessary information into the practice's system.
Responsibilities include:
Complete dental insurance eligibility and benefits verifications
Perform detailed insurance benefits breakdowns
Contact dental insurance carriers to obtain and confirm coverage information
Accurately enter insurance and benefits information into the practice's system
Manage assigned verifications from start to finish
Maintain accuracy while working through a consistently high volume of insurance verifications
Communicate with insurance carriers by phone as necessary
Work closely with the internal benefits and office teams to communicate insurance information and resolve questions
Develop an organized and efficient workflow to ensure assigned verifications are completed accurately and timely
Learn and follow the practice's established processes and procedures for insurance verification and benefits breakdowns
Benefits Verification Specialist Background Profile
2 to 3+ years of dental insurance benefits verification experience preferred
Dental insurance experience strongly preferred over medical insurance experience
Strong understanding of dental insurance terminology, benefits, eligibility, and coverage
Experience working with multiple dental insurance carriers and PPO plans
Dentrix experience is a strong plus
Comfortable contacting insurance carriers and obtaining detailed benefits information by phone
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable working with numbers and detailed insurance information
Able to stay organized and on task in a high volume environment
Ability to independently manage a verification from start to finish
Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with a remote and onsite team
Able to work during daytime business hours when insurance carriers are available
