 Position Overview:

Xerox Corporation is looking for a skilled and experienced Investigators who can offer support for all operating units to investigate violations of company policy and criminal/civil law that may adversely impact Xerox Corporation. Cases include but are not limited to Business Ethics, Theft of Company and Personal Property, Drugs, Illegal Activity, Fraud, Brand Protection, Employee Misconduct and Workplace Violence. This position is a critical role for the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigating sensitive and/or complex employee relations matters from start to finish, including leading interviews, note-taking, gathering, and analyzing evidence (electronic/physical, etc.), document findings, and following up with the relevant parties
  • Investigating cases entailing Employee Grievances, Ethics concerns, Open Door complaints, Security related violations, Executive escalations, Motor Vehicle Violations etc.
  • Reviewing and understanding the policy that is alleged to have been violated
  • Partnering with Corporate Security on matters that are not solely HR matters
  • Plan and execute pre-planning and debrief meeting(s) with investigating partners (Corporate Security, Internal Audit etc.)
  • Plan and execute meetings with concerned individuals (Complainant, Persons of Knowledge, Witnesses, Alleged Subject) to gather facts
  • Investigating the matter at hand through research and investigative interviews
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding and consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and practices. (KPI: timely, consistent, and quality service at all times)
  • Writing a Policy Violation Investigation Report/ Executive Escalations Summary/ Open Door Summary to document the data
  • Objectively debrief - findings of the investigation and HR recommendation(s) with HR Business Partner and Leadership/Higher Line Management when applicable
  • Final decision(s) on any corrective action(s) including termination to be executed
  • Engage internal legal counsel as appropriate.
  • Upon completion of the investigation(s) - Create close out and action memo(s)
  • Ensure the signed memo(s) is sent back by the management
  • Discreetly handle sensitive and/or private information
  • Cases investigated and closed within set timeframe
  • Traveling is a potential requirement

Skills:

  • Experience conducting investigations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse range of partners (e.g.: HR, Security,  Legal)
  • High emotional intelligence and a background in investigating variety of employment and labor relations issues
  • Ability to be empathetic and to provide emotional support while also gathering facts
  • Able to manage a high volume of work.
  • Deliver results on time and in quality manner
  • MS Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum qualification - Bachelor/Masters
  • Experience level - 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in conducting HR Investigations
  • Experience with detailed, factual investigations involving internal policies and Code of Conduct f

  • Excellent communication (Written and Verbal) and comprehension skills
  • Ability to take initiatives and be proactive
