About the Role

Reporting to the Business Manager, Aftermarket Services, this position requires a self-driven collaborator who works effectively as a team member in a matrix organization. The Commercial Operations Manager will lead the development, structuring, and delivery of competitive and timely proposals for various aftermarket service products, including gas generator and power turbine spare asset sales, aftermarket retrofits and upgrades, bundled aftermarket services, LTSAs, and MSAs.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Mitsubishi Power Aero service team and functional groups to create a prioritized action plan and schedule for required deliverables on each proposal request.
  • Understand and help shape the commercial strategy, aligned with the technical requirements, for each proposal.
  • Clearly communicate proposal requirements, proposal strategy, and expectations on deliverables to relevant stakeholders; manage proposal timelines.
  • Develop and drive commercial structures for LTSAs, MSAs, aftermarket upgrades, and other aftermarket products.
  • Structure, model, and creatively develop compelling business cases for new Aftermarket Services products.
  • Drive LTSA and PSA proposal development in support of new unit sales opportunities.
  • Organize and lead cross-functional meetings, providing follow-up support for more complex aftermarket offerings.
  • Balance multiple priorities, communicate risks through appropriate management channels, and escalate issues as required to satisfy customer requests while balancing business requirements.
  • Prepare proposal summary presentations for management reviews, including LTSA and MSA structures and bundled service offerings, as well as proposal summary presentations for customers.
  • Participate in management reviews and contribute to decision-making.
  • Drive and support Aftermarket product turnovers to internal stakeholders (Spares, Overhaul Shop, Field Service, AM Projects, Projects, Legal, Finance) through development of complete turnover packages that enable successful execution.
  • Streamline commercial excellence processes within Aftermarket Services, including templates, models, and documentation; drive productivity improvements and process optimization initiatives.
  • Support Aftermarket product marketing initiatives by tracking and analyzing proposal win rates and other analytical data to inform business strategies.


Qualifications

  • B.S. in engineering, business, or finance required; MBA highly preferred
  • At least 10 years of power industry and/or gas turbine experience or closely comparable experience
  • International business experience in the power generation industry favored
  • Fluency in Spanish advantageous
