Job Description

Position Purpose:
The Lead Health IT Informatics Analyst is the primary architect of the OCI backlog. This role requires a rare blend of clinical workflow knowledge and technical system configuration expertise to ensure that the "Operational Informatics Pipeline" delivers functional, tested, and adopted solutions.

Detailed Scope of Work & PWS Alignment:

  • Requirements & Information Modeling: Lead the elicitation of complex requirements. Translate patient safety requirements into data models and implementation guides.
  • Solution Architecture Management: Manage OCI solution architectures, including the individual MOIP feature structures for OCI workstreams and the ART (Agile Release Train) backlog.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Leadership: Coordinate national-level UAT. Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of requirements analysis, documentation, and defect management in coordination with VHA OIT.
  • Site Implementation Strategy: Coordinate site implementation strategies and user adoption activities. Evaluate clinical processes to resolve inefficiencies before and after go-live.
Qualifications

Advanced Technical Proficiencies:

  • Configuration: Extensive experience configuring Oracle Health (Cerner) and/or CPRS/VistA.
  • Analysis: Expert in requirements elicitation, gap analysis, and artifact development.
  • Data: Proficiency in SQL and data management for clinical informatics.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (or +6 years specialized experience).
  • Experience: 8 years total (6 years specialized in Health Informatics).
