Position Overview

Our healthcare client is seeking an Imaging Informatics Specialist to serve as the bridge between Radiology Operations, Clinical Staff, and IT. This is a highly visible role that works closely with Radiology leadership, Informatics teams, PACS administrators, vendors, and frontline clinical staff. The ideal candidate combines hands-on imaging experience with strong technical aptitude and exceptional relationship-building skills.

Success in this role requires someone who enjoys being onsite, engaging with end users, rounding with clinical teams, providing at-the-elbow support, and driving adoption of new imaging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Imaging Systems & Workflow Support

  • Support PACS, RIS, and imaging applications across multiple sites.
  • Assist with system testing, validation, upgrades, and implementations.
  • Identify workflow improvement opportunities within radiology operations.
  • Partner with vendors and technical teams to resolve system issues.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and workflow validation.

Training & End-User Adoption

  • Provide hands-on training for technologists, radiologists, clinic staff, and providers.
  • Deliver one-on-one and group training sessions.
  • Create training materials, tip sheets, and user documentation.
  • Provide go-live and post-go-live support.
  • Drive user engagement and adoption of new workflows and technologies.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner directly with Radiology leadership, Clinical Informatics, PACS teams, and IT.
  • Round with departments to gather feedback and improve user experience.
  • Support providers and clinic staff during system changes and enhancements.
  • Serve as a liaison between operational and technical teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Radiology, Imaging Operations, or Imaging Informatics.

  • Experience training end users and supporting system implementations.
  • Comfortable working directly with clinicians, providers, and operational leaders.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work onsite throughout South Florida facilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ARRT certification or previous experience as an X-Ray, CT, MRI, or Imaging Technologist.
  • PACS Administrator, Clinical Applications, Clinical Informatics, or Trainer experience.
  • Experience supporting software implementations and go-lives.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • CIIP certification.
  • Healthcare IT or Clinical Informatics background.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate started their career in medical imaging and became the "go-to" person for technology, training, and workflow support within their department. They have experience working with PACS and imaging systems, helping with upgrades and implementations, training staff, and partnering with IT teams to improve operations. This person is highly collaborative, enjoys working directly with end users, and is comfortable being onsite to ensure successful adoption of new systems and workflows.
