DoubleTree by Hilton Augusta is seeking a dynamic and service-driven Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing attentive table service while also preparing and serving beverages in a timely and professional manner.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing bartending responsibilities, including taking guest orders, preparing cocktails and beverages, and ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the dining experience. This position requires strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.

Requirements
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
  • Serve food and drinks in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and dietary options.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in throughout the meal and addressing any needs.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure correct and timely order delivery.
  • Handle payments, issue receipts, return change, or process credit cards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, stations, and service areas.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
  • Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, service, appropriate wines, and food preparation.
  • Memorize menu selections and wines, including being familiar with daily specials and basic ingredients.
  • Use proper verbiage and etiquette, including serving ladies first.
  • Write the order in an order notebook. Repeat the order back to guests for clarity.
  • Relay orders to the kitchen and service bar utilizing the point-of-sale system.
  • Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when the meal has been completed for guest checkout.
  • Total the bill and accept payment or refer the guest to the cashier.
  • Ladle soup, portion pies and desserts, and brew coffee.
  • Notify a manager immediately of any guest complaints.
  • Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures.
  • Assist all service personnel in any duties as requested.
  • Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures.
