Job description

Job Specific Details and Tasks:

  • Use strongly preferred 2 years experience as a DoD or Civilian Government Asset Manager to Structure and Coordinate Asset Management activities and asset interactions for agency Government client IT infrastructure
  • Lead Asset Management support; perform structured asset management audits/reports/coordinate any needed ServiceNow/MDM InTune activities and asset support tickets
    • Asset Inventory Management : Lead the development and maintenance of an accurate inventory of all hardware and software assets within the agency, utilizing the ServiceNow HAM and SAM modules.
    • Asset Optimization : Identify opportunities for cost-saving, license optimization, and overall efficiency improvements in the management of IT assets and guide the team in implementing best practices.
    • Compliance and Licensing : Oversee the team in ensuring the agency remains compliant with software licensing agreements, coordinating software audits, and conducting licensing assessments.
    • ServiceNow Expertise : Utilize the ServiceNow platform to its fullest extent, configuring and customizing the Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) modules, and providing expertise to the team.
    • MDM and Microsoft InTune Integration : Use hands-on experience with MS InTune to oversee the integration of MDMs/Microsoft InTune for efficient mobile device management and security. ensuring alignment with organizational goals.  MDM interaction and moblie vendor coordination - coordination mobile device setup and modifications, reporting and analysis
    • Guide the team in generating reports and analyzing data to provide insights and recommendations for decision-making regarding IT hardware and software asset management.
  • Maintain asset inventories and provide regular asset tracking and summary reports as required by client statement of objectives (SOO).
  • Work extensively directly with lead clients on asset management tracking processes, concerns and issues.
  • Other duties as assigned with a focus on asset management support functions.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a government publc trust Clearance/background check

Required Education:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Studies or a related field of study; Bachelors degree preferred

Required Experience: 

  • 2 years-on hands on government-client Asset Management Experience as a dedicated asset lead in an automated setting perferably with ServiceNow HAM/SAM modules of software solution
  • Hands on experience in a wide range of asset management and staff support funcitons and reporting steps
  • 1 years of hands-on Mobile Device Mamagement (MDM) asset tracking and support using client and vendor MDMs/InTune.  Experience in overall MDM and mobile device vendor interface/management.
  • Timely support for software process mangement process definition and execution.
  • Experience developing and managing ITIL process-based asset management in an automated ticketing system for a varying sizes of organizations.
  • Proactive client interface experience and deliverable documentation development
  • Staff interface and asset coordination experience
  • Experience supporting federal or similar IT organizations preferred
  • Strong customer asset support skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Knowledge of the ServiceNow ticketing system
  • Experience with ITIL best practices
