Job Description

The IT Procurement and Asset Tracking Specialist participates in the Information Technology (IT) procurement and asset tracking functions. And, oversees the daily and long-term strategic management of software and hardware within the organization including planning, monitoring, and recording software licenses and hardware assets to ensure compliance with contracts. The ideal candidate will assist in forming actionable strategies to optimize technology spent across the organization.

Responsibilities

Establish policies, processes and procedures for inventorying, tracking assets, and reporting on information technology related assets.

Audits and develops records and databases containing license, warranty, and service agreements information for TSC's hardware and software. Ensures records are organized, up-to-date, and audible.

Assist in monitoring and analyzing trends in company spending and inventory control in order to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas for possible savings and/or asset optimization

Reviews all current and negotiates proposed license and maintenance agreements to ensure purchase agreement compliance and exposure to fees or fines.

Design process for performing inventories and usage monitoring of all IT assets and record all findings, changes, physical location, and incidences of support.

Research industry best practices and compare against the organization's practices in order to establish benchmarks for managing IT assets

Effectively communicate asset management strategies to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

Qualifications

Experience in interpreting licensing terms and conditions.

Experience in IT Asset Management and discovery tools

Remedy or Service Now experience is a preferred.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal required.

Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to use proven problem-solving approaches to most solutions preferred
