Are you looking to power the next leap in the exciting world of advanced electronics? Do you want to help solve problems that drive success in the rapidly evolving technology and connectivity landscape? Then bring your problem-solving, passion, and creativity to help us power the next leap in electronics.

At Qnity, we're more than a global leader in materials and solutions for advanced electronics and high-tech industries - we're a tight-knit team that is motivated by new possibilities, and always up for a challenge. All our dedicated teams contribute to making cutting-edge technology possible. We value forward-thinking challengers, boundary-pushers, and diverse perspectives across all our departments, because we know we play a critical role in the world enabling faster progress for all. Learn how you can start or jumpstart your career with us.

Qnity Interconnect Solutions (ICS) (formally a DuPont business) is focused on becoming a preferred partner for customers seeking materials-based solutions to enable market leading technologies utilizing a combination of materials to solve complex challenges in a multi-industrial vertical supply chain ecosystem. Advanced Flexible Technologies (AFT) is a business under ICS. Our broad technology base allows us to address complex performance requirements and offer a wide range of products, including Kapton and Oasis polyimide films and Pyralux flexible circuit materials.

AFT is seeking a technical expert to support the Qnity AFT business unit in managing large, strategic accounts and developing new opportunities with leading global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). The successful candidate will work closely with Account Managers, Sales, Marketing, Product Managers, and other AFT support functions to strengthen relationships with customers and identify their needs. Moreover, the candidate will work closely with business development and marketing to provide a voice of the customer regarding product performance and expected attributes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to project planning, defining technical objectives, and business growth
  • Assist in prototyping, lab work, and hands-on testing of products
  • Identify, develop, and deliver solutions that allow AFT to capture value and meet customer needs
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer processes and Qnity product and service offerings
  • Manage all aspects of the technology processes related to AFT products and services
This position will work closely with the Business Development team to identify and develop new market opportunities and expand our customer base for existing and emerging materials. The successful candidate will support the development, testing, and commercialization of new materials and products, collaborating with internal teams to drive innovation and meet customer needs. This role involves significant customer and external stakeholder interaction, requiring strong communication, relationship-building, and technical problem-solving skills to support business growth and product development initiatives. Note: This is not a software position, but a materials application development role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Electronics
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency, the ability to build customer relationships and business development experience are essential.
  • Ability to use one's initiative, effective time management skills, and result orientation.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of learning agility with the ability to adapt and learn new materials, applications, and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for global communication in English and the ability to lead a team of peers (which will often include other functions in Qnity, customer, and OEM personnel) are essential.
  • Demonstrated laboratory and hands-on experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • At least three years' experience in designing high-voltage electric machines is also preferred.
  • Experience in the electronics industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SalesForce.com or other CRM systems is a plus.

Location & Travel:

  • We prefer the candidate to be based at the Qnity office in the Circleville Plant, but we will also consider other Qnity offices/locations.
