Job description

The Application Development Consultant is a well-reasoned Information Technology (IT) Professional, able to apply system-wide responsibility to
complex components of a project.
This Consultant will work according to requirements that develop through joint efforts with the Business Process Groups. The Consultant will often
participate and contribute to the actual detail work of the specification.
When work precedents are unclear the Application Development Consultant should obtain advice from higher-level IT Associates.
Application Development Consultants may guide or instruct lower-level Staff Members in project related efforts and should provide value-added
input at team meetings.

What You'll Do:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design and develop new processes, programs and configuration - Taking into account the complex inter-relationships of system-wide components.

  • Provide system-wide support and maintenance for a complex system or business process. Maintain and modify existing processes, programs and configuration through use of current IT Toolsets.

  • Troubleshoot, investigate and persist. Develop solutions to problems with unknown causes where precedents do not exist, by applying logic and inference with persistence and experience to see the problem through to resolution. Confer with the stakeholder community on problem determination. Make joint analysis decisions on cause and correction methods. Perform tasks (as necessary) to ensure data integrity and system stability.

  • Complete life-cycle testing (unit and integration) of all work processes (including Cross Platform Interaction).

  • Create applications and databases with main focus on Data Collection Systems - Supporting Analysis, Data Capture, Design Tools, Library Functions, Reporting, Request Systems and Specification Systems used in the Tire Development Process.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or in lieu of degree 10 years of IT experience.

  • 5 or more years of experience in relevant Technical or Business Work
