Job description

Want to be at the center of how an organization delivers? Relay Product Excellence (RPE) protects Customers, Carriers, Drivers, and Amazon globally through fast-paced investigation and analytics - and we need a program manager to support and evolve the programmatic infrastructure that keeps it all running.
You will own the Team Growth and Development pillar - designing, launching, and scaling programs that drive employee satisfaction, professional development, recognition, and team culture across RPE. This isn't event planning - it's programmatic infrastructure for how a team grows, retains talent, and builds the culture that sustains high performance. Working closely with the senior program leader, you'll build the mechanisms that make development intentional, recognition consistent, and engagement measurable.
You'll own the full lifecycle of growth and development programs - from identifying gaps through data and feedback, to designing structured initiatives, to measuring outcomes and iterating. This includes development programs, mentorship frameworks, recognition mechanisms, satisfaction surveying and action planning, and team engagement initiatives.
You'll partner with stakeholders across RPE to ensure programs are aligned to organizational priorities, adopted at scale, and delivering measurable impact on retention, satisfaction, and team health. This role requires someone who can bring program management rigor to people-focused work - treating culture and development with the same structured execution as any operational initiative.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the Team Growth and Development pillar within SPOX - building and scaling programs that drive employee satisfaction, professional development, recognition, and team engagement across RPE
- Design and operate development programs - including skill-building initiatives, mentorship frameworks, career pathing resources, and learning opportunities that support individual and team growth
- Build and maintain recognition mechanisms - creating structured, consistent approaches to celebrating contributions that reinforce team values and drive motivation
- Own employee satisfaction measurement and action planning - designing survey mechanisms, analyzing results, identifying themes, and driving targeted interventions with measurable outcomes
- Lead team engagement and culture initiatives - including fun committee programming, team events, and connection-building activities - with the same rigor and accountability applied to any operational program
- Develop and maintain program documentation - including initiative playbooks, engagement calendars, measurement frameworks, and retrospective templates
- Measure and report on program impact - tracking participation rates, satisfaction scores, retention metrics, and development outcomes to demonstrate ROI for Director+ audiences
- Influence stakeholders through data-driven updates, written narratives, and clear recommendations on where investment in people programs will yield
A day in the life
In this role, you'll drive engagement, development, and retention - designing programs that help people grow, measuring what's working, and iterating based on real data. You might finalize the design for a new mentorship cohort, building the intake mechanism and matching framework. You'll facilitate retrospectives on recognition cycles - what landed, what didn't, and what to iterate on. You'll surface patterns from team feedback and turn them into skill-building proposals with clear success metrics and rollout plans for leadership. You'll keep event planning on track and aligned to the broader engagement strategy. And through it all, you're connecting every initiative back to measurable outcomes - because culture work without data is just activity. The throughline is making this team a place people choose to stay and grow.
About the team
Middle Mile Transportation Technology moves millions of packages across Amazon's network daily - and Relay Product Excellence (RPE) ensures those systems stay protected. We sit at the intersection of product and operations, building programs that close gaps where automation hasn't yet reached. Our program managers, analysts, and investigators deliver rapid-cycle investigation and analytics that safeguard Customers, Carriers, Drivers, and Amazon globally. Within RPE, the Strategic Programs and Organizational Excellence (SPOX) team is the connective tissue - owning the intake frameworks, milestone governance, execution methodology, and operating rhythms that give teams structure to move fast. We don't support delivery; we set the standard.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
