Program Manager II, Relay Operations Center Tech and Ops Integration job at Amazon.com Services LLC. Tempe, AZ.

Amazon's Middle Mile is looking for a detail-oriented, technically skilled, innovative, handsโ€‘on, and customer-obsessed Program Manager. In this role, you will drive innovation in Amazon's Middle Mile Transportation network. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience partnering with technical teams, managing stakeholders and customers, managing multiple priorities and deadlines, and delivering strong results. Technical knowledge and understanding are a plus. This person must have a high degree of autonomy with the ability to navigate ambiguous problems, develop solutions, and drive projects forward with minimal guidance. They must be able to think strategically, yet execute methodically to deliver to the highest standards. This person has excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the aptitude to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to varied audiences. They will have a strong entrepreneurial orientation and a desire to build things from scratch and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary in a startโ€‘up like environment.

  • Define both longโ€‘term strategy and shortโ€‘term plans to achieve program goals and deliver business results.
  • Define, prioritize and plan resources and technical requirements needed for programs to be delivered on time.
  • Work with peers and stakeholders to generate program adoption and ensure a successful implementation.
  • Write business cases, perform supporting research and analysis, write specifications, and drive program development from design to launch.
  • Maintain clear, precise, and regular communication with all stakeholders for program/product status reports as well as leadership reviews.
  • Drive change management and adoption of solution across Ops teams.
  • Manage post-launch activities (user support, new feature development, etc.).
  • Establish KPIs, identify gaps, and improve performance and adoption of program/product.
  • Deepโ€‘dive problems or opportunity areas and propose solutions to address.
  • Generate new ideas to drive improvement, efficiency and automation across the transportation supply chain.
ABOUT THE TEAM

The ROC Tech Team is dedicated to the development of technology that advances efficiency and elevates operational standards of the Relay Operations Center. To that end, we act as liaison between MMPT (Middle Mile Product Team) and ROC Ops teams to ensure that feature development aligns with customer needs and operations' priorities at a global scale. The key objective of the ROC Tech Team is to support all ROC Teams on the Disruption Management platform and integrate operations with DM and Relay technology to enable ROC to grow as a global organization with geographically agnostic team structures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience.
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience working crossโ€‘functionally with tech and nonโ€‘tech teams.
