Job description

Job Summary: The Regional Head of Additive Manufacturing will drive the growth of Constellium's recent additive manufacturing activity in North America. Maximize value creation for the company by developing and executing a strategic plan and roadmap for the business in that region.  Also act as an inspirational and transformational leader for the whole team, ensuring excellent teamwork with European counterpart to achieve ambitious targets.


Responsibilities

  • Understand how the aluminum additive manufacturing market is structured/being structured. Define the best positioning of Constellium in that market to maximize value creation for the company by developing and executing a strategic plan and roadmap for the business in NA.
  • Fully manage the P&L statement of the activity in that region. Grow the topline and control costs to ensure activity's sustainable profitability.
  • Maintain and grow, together with the team, strong collaborations with a selected network of key customers, suppliers, academic partners and other stakeholders including governmental entities (DoW, NASA, NIST), America Makes, ASTM, SAE, etc.   
  • Lead key negotiations with customers and suppliers.
  • As part of the larger business strategy, define and execute the marketing and communication strategy (e.g. articles, participation in conferences, trade shows etc.) required to promote our activity in NA.
  • Act as an inspirational and transformational leader for the team, ensuring excellent teamwork with European counterparts to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Work collectively with other Constellium business units when it comes to joint customers.
  • Assist the team in identifying unmet customer needs, monitoring competition and competing products, defining our roadmap for new product development.

Qualifications

  • Due to the nature of our work with U.S. defense and government customers, this role is restricted to U.S. citizens in accordance with applicable export control laws and regulations.
  • Masters-level technical degree (Engineering, Technology, Materials, Metallurgy) completed by an MBA or equivalent. OR Masters' business degree, ideally preceded by a technical degree.
  • Established experience in Additive Manufacturing or the Aluminum industry or end market customer experience (i.e. Defense, Space, Aviation, Motorsports).
  • 10 years of experience minimum in a related technical domain, ideally Additive Manufacturing and/or Aluminum application.
  • Very good knowledge of Defense and Space customers and markets is key.
  • Experience with collaborative programs including America Makes, ASTM, SAE etc. is a plus.
  • Experience in dealing/negotiating with large customers (e.g. Lockheed Martin, RTX, Northrop Grumman, Honeywell, General Atomics, Boeing, SpaceX).
  • Strong and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Experience in managing a P&L statement.
  • Strategic thinking: ability to develop / articulate a clear vision for a business, ability to influence and align the team around the strategic vision and ability to synthesize complex information. 
  • Strong Change Management skills and ability to lead teams through uncertainty.
  • English (native language) is a must. A good command of some French is a plus.
