We are currently seeking an experienced leader to join our ADAS/AD team as Staff Engineering Program Manager, ADAS/AD Validation Engineering under the leadership of Sr. Manager of ADAS/AD validation.

Our ideal candidate exhibits a proactive, can-do attitude and approaches their work systematically with vigor, determination and accuracy; and can plan & support ADAS/AD validation execution. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

This role is located on-site at Headquarters in Newark, CA.

Role Responsibilities:

Cross-functionally lead ADAS validation engineering team activity planning & resource planning including testing vehicles, equipment, transportation, regulatory & validation testing schedules for on-road, proving ground testing & simulation for various vehicle programs from concept to post-SOP

Create and own ADAS features verification & validation plans under the guidance of engineering managers that align with internal and external customer needs, major program milestones and involved stakeholders

Align with ADAS program and feature delivery program managers to provide validation plans & deliverable timelines and represent ADAS validation in various internal ADAS planning meetings; Communicate ADAS/AD validation progress to overall ADAS/AD organization, other program managers and executives as needed

Align with organizations digital integration and software release groups for OTA software cycles and feature delivery plans; Support planning of ADAS/AD software releases, support release managers & technical leads and communicate ADAS software validation status under direction of ADAS validation engineering leadership

Identify and track cross team dependencies and handshake points, foster collaboration, monitor status, help resolve issues, report, and fill the gaps

Drive JIRA ticket resolution process, including triaging, root cause analysis, countermeasure identification, verification and implementation etc. for ADAS/AD validation tickets

Interact with and coordinate work between various hardware & software teams, product, systems engineering, function safety, and other teams requiring inputs/outputs from the ADAS/AD validation

Document ADAS/AD validation for each OTA and ADAS feature releases and sign off under guidance of ADAS/AD validation engineering leadership

Support in planning & development of ADAS/AD dashboards on validation data, ticket status, V&V testing coverage etc.

Required Qualifications:

BS degree in electrical, mechanical, computer, systems engineering or related engineering discipline AND 10+ years of experience in the automotive field with 8+ in ADAS/AD features development execution (validation preferred) OR

MS degree in electrical, mechanical, computer engineering or related engineering discipline AND 8+ years of experience in the automotive field with 6+ in ADAS/AD features development execution (validation preferred)

5+ years of experience in technical program management in ADAS

Success in leading cross-functional teams in launching ADAS/AD features into production

An ability to lead through ambiguity and enabling teams to perform in this environment

Expertise using JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools

Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills and an ability to explain difficult or sensitive information in an easy to understand manner

Ability to quickly comprehend complex problems and effectively facilitate the team to a decision and coordinate the action plan.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work in a high-pace highly complex cross-functional environment.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to drive decisions using data and metrics

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous project management experience from an OEM or a Tier1 in ADAS/AD validation, SW development, or systems engineering

Previous experience with lean-agile framework, and development and deployment process

Knowledge of relevant regulations and applicable safety standards for typical ADAS features (e.g. ASPICE, FMVSS, EuroNCAP, R79, GSR2, etc.)

ADAS/AD experience as product manager/system engineer/validation engineer/software developer

MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, or similar preferred

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

$153,100—$224,510 USD
