Position Overview
ย 
The Records Management Specialist (Mid-Level) will provide comprehensive records management, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and Privacy Act (PA) support to the National Indian Gaming Commission. This individual will oversee the flow of information requests, manage records management systems on Microsoft 365 and Salesforce platforms, and ensure all activities comply with Federal legal and privacy requirements. The position requires a minimum of 8 years of experience and a Public Trust clearance. Work is performed primarily on-site at NIGC Headquarters in Washington, DC.ย

Responsibilities
ย 
  • Perform records management activities in accordance with Federal government privacy and legal requirements.ย 
  • Assist in the development of analyses and reports associated with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) processes.ย 
  • Manage the flow of FOIA and PA correspondence and requests; establish processes to provide prompt, accurate, and compliant responses to requestors.ย 
  • Perform technical tasks involved in maintaining the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system used for records and request tracking.ย 
  • Participate in the development of information management policies and governance frameworks for Microsoft 365 and Salesforce platforms.ย 
  • Manage SharePoint sites, including content architecture, permissions, and governance.ย 
  • Create and execute PowerShell scripts to generate reports and perform records management tasks.ย 
  • Compile data for reports, transcribe records, and maintain updated indexes and tracking documentation.ย 
  • Ensure all work products are proofread and free of errors, omissions, and inconsistencies prior to submission.ย 
  • Support compliance with NARA (National Archives and Records Administration) regulations and NIGC-specific records retention schedules.ย

  • Strong knowledge of Federal records management laws, regulations, and best practicesย 
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 platforms with a focus on records governanceย 
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and SharePoint Online administrationย 
  • Ability to work on-site with minimal supervisionย 
  • Active or ability to obtain a Public Trust clearanceย 
  • Must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and adhere to NIGC Rules of Behaviorย 
  • Must obtain a PIV Card issued by the Governmentย
