Job Description:

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented HRIS Analyst II to join our HRIS team. The ideal candidate will bring 2.5 - 5 years of HR or HRIS experience and hands-on exposure to benefits configuration, administration, testing, reporting, and process improvement. This role will also serve as a functional resource for compensation, recruiting, and other Workday modules.

The HRIS Analyst II will partner closely with Microchip HR and external vendors to ensure accurate benefits data, efficient business processes, and a positive employee experience. Key responsibilities include supporting annual enrollment activities, benefits integrations, audits, compliance requirements, and ongoing Workday system enhancements.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of HR processes and data management, strong analytical skills, and exceptional attention to detail. Microchip welcomes candidates who have foundational HR systems knowledge and are eager to deepen their Workday expertise, as well as professionals with related systems experience who are looking to enter the Workday ecosystem.

In this role, the HRIS Analyst II will help maintain accurate, up-to-date employee data, support the smooth operation of the Workday platform, and provide responsive HRIS support to Microchip's global HR team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key point of contact for Workday Benefit system-related inquiries, issues, and administration.

  • Configure and maintain benefit eligibility rules, events, rates, plan changes, and enrollment processes.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve benefits-related system issues and data discrepancies.

  • Assist with annual Open Enrollment planning, testing, deployment, and post-enrollment audits.

  • Serve as a functional resource for Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting and other Workday modules.

  • Perform system testing for Workday releases, enhancements, and changes.

  • Create and maintain configuration and process documentation.

  • Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.

  • Provide general HR system support, including troubleshooting user issues and resolving system-related problems.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of training materials and resources for HR users

  • Provide ad hoc reporting and data support to HR leadership and teams.

  • Support benefits-related integrations with carriers and third-party vendors, including integration monitoring and troubleshooting.

  • Support quarterly and off-cycle compensation processes, recruitment configurations, and AI initiatives.

  • Participate in audits and support required document requests.

  • Utilize integration processes to manually load data into the Workday environment.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in HR technology and systems administration.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of employee information.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration. Related majors and/or equivalent experience will be considered.

  • 2.5 - 5 years of HRIS or HR experience.

  • Hands-on experience with Workday HCM or comparable HR platform.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry and system administration.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including utilizing pivot tables and formulas to conduct data analysis and validation.

  • Experience creating HR reports and data extracts.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Open Enrollment processes.

  • Experience troubleshooting HRIS issues and performing root cause analysis.

  • Knowledge of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and benefits compliance requirements.

  • Experience with Workday report writer, calculated fields, and EIB integrations.
