Location: Wichita, KS 

Facility: Via Christi, St. Francis

Department: Case Management  

Schedule: Day  l  Full-time   

Via Christi associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through our academic partnership with Wichita State University.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the charge in expediting discharges, ensuring that external providers have every piece of documentation they need to welcome our patients with open arms and no delays.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between our Case Management team, Admissions, and Payers. Your ability to translate complex status updates into clear action items keeps the whole engine running smoothly.
  • Facilitate the documentation process with payers, meticulously recording interactions and keeping the Utilization Management Nurses looped in so they can own the full documentation and patient's status.
  • From obtaining authorizations for ancillary services to managing denial reporting, ensure that our patients get the resources they need-and that the hospital's hard work is accurately recognized.
What You Will Need

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education OR experience, if applicable.
Additional Preferences
  • Experience working in a medical setting.
