Job description


The Network Services Analyst is responsible for reliable operation, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise network infrastructure. In addition to hands-on engineering responsibilities, this role acts as a day-to-day service lead, coordinating work with an offshore support team to ensure incidents, requests, and changes are handled efficiently and in alignment with operational standards.


This position integrates technical execution, service ownership, and cross-team coordination, and is best suited for a candidate capable of leading through influence rather than direct authority.


Responsibilities:


Network Engineering & Operations



  • Design, configure, and support LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments

  • Administer and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs

  • Troubleshoot complex network connectivity and performance issues

  • Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewall rules and segmentation

  • Support network upgrades, hardware refreshes, and site deployments

  • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and standards

  • Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity


Project Management & Coordination Skill Set



  • Coordinate project activities, timelines, and deliverables across technical and business teams

  • Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, and status updates to support successful execution

  • Facilitate cross-functional communication, meeting coordination, and follow-up on action items

  • Support change management, documentation, and stakeholder reporting throughout project lifecycles

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, prioritization, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives


Service Leadership & Offshore Coordination



  • Act as the primary point of contact for network services

  • Coordinate daily operational activities with an offshore support team

  • Provide technical guidance, prioritization, and oversight for offshore-handled incidents and requests

  • Review and validate work completed by offshore resources to ensure quality and adherence to standards

  • Handle escalations from offshore teams and provide resolution direction

  • Ensure incidents, requests, and changes meet defined SLAs and operational expectations

  • Assist in developing and refining runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles for offshore execution

  • Participate in service reviews, incident post-mortems, and continuous improvement initiatives


Monitoring, Reliability & Incident Management



  • Monitor network and infrastructure health using enterprise monitoring tools

  • Lead or support incident response efforts for network-related outages

  • Perform root-cause analysis and contribute to corrective action plans

  • Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing for network services

  • Participate in an on-call rotation as required


Server & Core Infrastructure Support



  • Assist with administration of Active Directory, including:

  • DNS

  • DHCP

  • Group Policy


Cloud & Hybrid Connectivity



  • Support network connectivity for cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS

  • Assist with hybrid networking (site-to-site VPNs, routing, firewall integration)

  • Troubleshoot cloud and on-prem connectivity issues impacting applications and users


Licenses/ Certifications



  • CCNA, Network+, preferred

  • Microsoft or Linux fundamentals certifications preferred

  • Entry-level cloud certifications (e.g., AZ-104) preferred

  • Add clear RACI boundaries between onshore and offshore teams preferred

  • Align it to job grades or compensation bands preferred

  • Create a Senior Service Lead version for future growth preferred


Qualifications/ Requirements:



  • Associate's degree with IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other STEM related subjects, either directly or indirectly

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as network engineering resource with recent hands-on experience

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VLANs

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise networking equipment

  • Experience supporting firewalls, VPNs, and network security fundamentals

  • Working knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux environments

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP

  • Experience supporting virtualized infrastructure

  • Proven troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills, especially in cross-team and offshore collaboration

  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple concurrent issues


Desired/ Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience acting as a service owner or technical lead

  • Exposure to Azure or AWS networking

  • Experience supporting hybrid on-prem/cloud environments

  • Familiarity with PowerShell automation beyond basic scripting

  • Introductory experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts

  • Experience with VMware storage, backup, or DR solutions

  • Familiarity with identity platforms such as Azure Entra

  • Experience contributing to SLA tracking and service metric
