Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have working knowledge of Information Technology courses at Macomb.
Working Hours and/or Working Conditions: WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to lift and carry computer equipment as required. HOURS: To be scheduled by the department, but not to exceed 25 hours per week. Evenings primarily, some afternoons and Saturdays may be required.Work hours will be based on college work-study funding. Scheduled work hours may not conflict with class hours. Position terminates at end of semester or when award is exhausted.
Supervision: SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Department Associate Dean - day-to-day direction from Information Technology professors.SUPERVISION GIVEN: None

Provide technical support and training in the Makerspace Lab (CA-240).

Job Responsibilities
  • Inventory/manage Makerspace equipment
  • Maintain Makerspace equipment - setup and tear down
  • Assist/support/tutor Makerspace student attendees
  • Report/manage student attendance list
  • Report equipment issues
  • Setup new equipment (3D Printers, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Beaglebone, etc)
  • Advertise/promote Makerspace
  • Create/produce simple tutorials using Makerspace equipment
  • Develop and present one (1) "Lunch and Learn" how to session
  • Participate in Makerspace college events, tours, etc.
