The Maintenance Technician completes responsibilities that include Reactive, Preventive, and Predictive Maintenance of Production Equipment on assigned shift. This includes day to day activities within Maintenance Department. "Safety" is the underlying principle that must govern this charter. The duties and responsibilities are not limited to the following and direction may be given by the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager outside the scope of items below:

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Responsible for the completion of all Preventive and Predictive work orders generated by EQMS. Goal is 92 % completion. Responsible for communicating potential failures discovered performing PM activity and   scheduling the repair activity. Assists in the development, procurement, installation, and evaluation of new production equipment. Assists with tooling Asset Identification and tagging program (COT). Assists Engineering with tooling modifications when necessary. Obeys all safety rules and policies. Responsible for their own personal safety and that of their fellow employees. Follows safety standard operating procedures (SOP's) specific to their job. Immediately report and hazard or any defect in the equipment, which may endanger themselves or another employee, to their Supervisor/Manager. Properly wears the Personal Protective Equipment provided by the employer as required. Employees are responsible to maintain and keep their workstation clean and tidy. Reports any accident/incident immediately to their Supervisor/Manager.


Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

The ideal candidate has experience of at least (5) five years in maintenance and facility maintenance, preferably in the automotive industry.   The ability to troubleshoot. Must be able to recognize equipment problems and adverse material conditions.

Mechanical background; strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Be familiar with all safety features and requirements for the safe operation of equipment/machinery.
