Job description

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Maintenance Worker at Pearl Haven in Haleiwa, HI
Pearl Haven is a specialized facility on the north shore of Oahu that provides trauma informed therapeutic services for girls ages 11-17 who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with serious emotional and behavioral disturbances to try and help them heal from their trauma.
Pay: Starting at $27/hour
Perks & Benefits: Regarding insurance coverage: You will be eligible for Medical insurance on the first of the month following your first day of full-time employment. You will be eligible for the rest of the Rite of Passage Benefits Package immediately after 90 days of full-time employment., and 401k match of up to 6% after 1 year of employment, Paid Time Off that can be used as soon as it accrues and more! What you will do: As a Maintenance Worker you will perform work orders including general building maintenance, minor electrical repairs, minor plumbing repairs, maintaining smoke detectors and emergency lights, maintaining and installing swamp coolers/air conditioners, replacing floor tiles, repairing roofing, grounds maintenance/irrigation if needed, and new construction, etc.
To be considered you should: Have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants should be at least 21 years of age. Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical and TB test. Applicants should be empathetic, patient and have a desire to work with troubled teens.
Information regarding Schedule: The Maintenance Worker will work a Monday to Friday schedule from 8am - 4:30pm with a half an hour break.
