Job description

The Maintenance Technician III is a senior-level technician responsible for advanced troubleshooting, system ownership, and reliability improvement of automated equipment. This role serves as a technical expert, leading complex diagnostics, mentoring technicians, and supporting automation systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and controls issues across automation systems (conveyors, sortation, ASRS, packaging)
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet)
  • Serve as technical owner for key systems, including advanced faults, timing, and integration issues
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement reliability improvements
  • Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
  • Read and interpret complex electrical schematics and system documentation
  • Coordinate with OEMs and third-party vendors for advanced support
  • Document maintenance activities and system performance in CMMS
  • Support equipment upgrades, trials, and capital projects
  • Mentor and train Maintenance Technicians I & II

Required Skills

  • Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. pallet jack, box cutter, carts) which requires coordinated movements

Shift: Monday - Friday 9:00pm - 5:30am
