We're changing the landscape of snacking on nuts, dried fruit, chocolate and more! We planted our roots in Newark, New Jersey during the Great Depression, selling premium nuts on Mulberry Street's open-air market. We've come quite a long way since then, taking our multi-generational family business online in 1999. Even after 97 years, we continue to pride ourselves in expertly sourcing the highest quality foods and treating our customers like family.

What's our team like? We're driven, collaborative and entrepreneurial. Energy and passion power our business and we look for candidates who share in that excitement to help us continue to build something special.

  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with OSHA, GMP, SQF, and company safety and food safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate CMMS records, work orders, and documentation.

Asset Reliability & Maintenance Strategy

  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify and resolve chronic issues.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode & effects analysis (FMEA) on equipment failures.
  • Develop and track maintenance KPIs (MTBF, PM compliance, downtime, etc).
  • Recommend and execute improvements for equipment reliability, process improvements, and energy efficiency.

Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with production and FSQA teams to support operational and food safety objectives.
  • Lead small capital projects focused on equipment upgrades, reliability improvements, and automation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including equipment records, work orders, and spare parts inventories.
  • Participate in cross-functional improvement projects, including Value Creation Process (VCP) initiatives to reduce downtime and cost.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA, GMP, SQF, and company safety standards.
  • Lead and participate in safety audits and initiatives related to equipment and maintenance activities.
  • Support the EHS team in identifying engineering controls to reduce risk.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in reliability, maintenance engineering, or similar roles within food manufacturing, distribution, or a related industry.
  • Supervisory or team lead experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety and food safety in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets and capital investments.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

What we offer:
