Salary: $100K-$110K + 10% Bonus

Shift: Days, Monday-Friday, 10 hour days starting at/before 7:00 AM. On-call required

About the Role

This role leads the plant maintenance function to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance team, drive preventive maintenance strategy, and partner cross-functionally to improve equipment uptime and plant performance.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance department and provide direction, coaching, and support to the team
  • Ensure equipment and facility systems are maintained for safe and efficient operation
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life
  • Use plant systems and planning tools to improve maintenance scheduling, parts planning, and work execution
  • Serve as the escalation point for emergency maintenance issues
  • Partner with engineering and plant leadership on equipment upgrades, replacements, and improvement projects
  • Help manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and cost control efforts
  • Develop department procedures, expectations, and performance standards
  • Manage department staffing, scheduling, performance, and employee development
  • Support plant compliance with safety, GMP, food safety, quality, and sanitation standards


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-8 years of maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related experience
  • Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Manager-level experience preferred
  • Food or dairy manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, equipment reliability, and plant operations
  • Experience leading safety programs and enforcing safe work practices
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance planning systems preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and team leadership skills
  • Licenses or certifications in areas like electrical, welding, boiler, refrigeration, compressed air, wastewater, or plumbing are a plus
