Description

The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for a Facilities Maintenance Manager in our Facilities Maintenance Department.ย 


Responsibilities:

Supervises, coordinates, assigns, and reviews work and establishes work schedules; maintains standards; monitors status of work in progress; inspects completed work assignments; answers questions; gives advice and direction as needed to all maintenance and custodial staff.

Helps plan department annual budget then oversees and maintains expenditures not to exceed the budget once approved by city council.

Various hands-on maintenance duties are necessary to maintain and enhance the value of city facilities, diagnosing problems and overseeing repairs as necessary in electrical, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, drywall, painting. And exterior structures.

Manages third party contractors as needed.

Selects, orders, and inventories custodial and maintenance supplies, materials, and equipment.

Provides overall maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems to include the service and repair of all air conditioning equipment.

Performs or schedules preventative maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment such as boilers, condensate tanks, pumps, chillers, towers, and equipment.

Inspects and performs or schedules preventative maintenance on emergency generators regularly.

Responds to specific building service requests and takes corrective actions. Prioritizes needs and adjusts schedules accordingly.

Provides or schedules plumbing and electrical repairs and maintenance.

Serves as primary contact for all building repairs and maintenance issues and is on-call as necessary.ย 

Maintains the preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery.ย 

Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices.

Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, M-F; with additional hours as needed


Salary: Minimum $80,504; Compensation will be determined based on experience, skills and qualifications.ย

Requirements

Education & Experience Required:ย 

Associate's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering Technology or related field.

Five (5) years' experience in the building maintenance field.

Three (3) years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Must be skilled in all areas of facilities maintenance to include electrical, carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical.ย 

Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license.
