The Facilities Technician I - 1st Shift is responsible for maintaining and repairing Facilities Systems to a high level.

This position reports to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager and is part of the Facilities and Maintenance Team in Duncan, SC, and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

  • Install, diagnose, repair, wire, and maintain a variety of electrical and electronic equipment and controls related to production and building equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, motors, pumps, relays, circuit breakers, electronic machine controls and circuits, computers, printers, and other equipment.

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.

  • Install and maintain a wide variety of complicated machine tools, test stands, and building equipment with minimal direction.

Who you are:

  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to effectively communicate, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions

  • Extensive knowledge of electronic systems, components, and their functions

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for the role

  • Required Lifting Weight: minimum of 35 lbs. daily

  • Required to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours or more)

  • Frequently twist and bend

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Trade school degree in electronics or previous electrical repair/wiring experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in electronics and machine maintenance

  • Microsoft Office and SAP experience (specifically in a manufacturing environment)
