The Arbor at Lake Worth is an award-winning senior living community offering an Independent Living campus, Assisted Living, and Memory Care in beautiful Lake Worth Florida. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to join our leadership team and oversee the maintenance, safety, and overall physical condition of our community.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance leader who enjoys managing a team, solving problems, and creating a safe and welcoming environment for residents, families, and team members.

What You'll Do


As Maintenance Director, you will provide leadership and oversight for the community's buildings, grounds, equipment, safety programs, and preventive maintenance operations. You will also lead and support our Maintenance and Housekeeping teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the community's preventive maintenance program and ensuring routine maintenance is completed on schedule

  • Managing and prioritizing work orders, repairs, and maintenance requests

  • Maintaining fire and life safety systems and supporting required inspections and testing

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory, safety, and building requirements

  • Coordinating and managing outside vendors and contractors

  • Leading, developing, scheduling, and supporting the Maintenance and Housekeeping teams

  • Monitoring the condition of buildings, grounds, equipment, and community systems

  • Troubleshooting maintenance concerns and coordinating timely repairs

  • Partnering with community leadership to maintain a safe, attractive, and well-functioning environment for residents and team members

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings both hands-on maintenance knowledge and proven leadership experience.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 3–5 years of overall maintenance experience

  • At least 2 years of maintenance leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a similar environment

  • Senior living maintenance experience strongly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, work order management, fire and life safety, and regulatory compliance

  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service providers

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a maintenance team

  • Working knowledge of building systems, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and attention to detail

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • A proactive, hands-on leadership style and willingness to jump in when needed
