Job description

Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

We are looking for a dependable and proactive Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to support the day-to-day upkeep of our building and property. This hands-on role includes cleaning, basic repairs, event setup, and coordination with vendors to ensure a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily and weekly maintenance tasks for the facility and grounds
  • Communicate directly with the Director of Operations to:
  • Submit weekly work logs outlining planned tasks
  • Report maintenance or facility issues
  • Lock/unlock the building as needed
  • Set up and break down spaces for events; move and store tables, chairs, and equipment
  • Meet with and guide vendors working onsite
  • Perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment

Daily Duties (as outlined in the work log):

  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors
  • Empty trash and recycling bins
  • Clean and restock restrooms
  • Dust furniture, walls, and fixtures
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and partitions
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs of the property
  • Complete the Early Childhood Playground Maintenance & Safety Checklist

Weekly Duties:

  • Shampoo or steam-clean carpets and rugs
  • Monitor and restock cleaning and kitchen supplies

As-Needed Tasks:

  • Replace light bulbs
  • Organize and maintain storage areas

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in facility or building maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
