Facility Maintenance Technician 

Roy Jorgensen Associates Inc (JorgensenFM) is a leader in maintenance and operations throughout the United States. For over 65 years, Jorgensen has provided a diverse range of facilities and highway infrastructure, maintenance, and operation services. Our firm is focused on operating and maintaining toll locations and state rest areas throughout Florida. Our maintenance crews are comprised of HVAC and Electrical Technicians, Painters, Plumbers, General Maintenance, and Landscapers.
Position Summary: JorgensenFM is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician with five-plus years of experience in a commercial environment with a focus on customer service, exceptional technical skills, and an aptitude for facilities maintenance. This position is a hands-on technician position responsible for maintaining tolling plazas/gantries and DOT offices. Conducting work to ensure the safety of themselves and the traveling public. We will provide a company vehicle, all necessary tools, and training for the right individual. The locations covered will be assigned by your supervisor in South Florida (Broward/Palm Beach Counties)
Experience and Skills Required:

  • HVAC / CRAC Units - EPA Certified, preventative and corrective maintenance, system monitoring, installations as needed. Air-cooled water chiller knowledge a plus
  • Electrical - minor repairs and troubleshooting including light fixtures, ballasts, outlets, switches, and breakers
  • Generators - maintenance, repair and emergency service
  • Roofing - maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting
  • Plumbing - minor restroom repair of toilets, sinks, and fixtures
  • Experience using and troubleshooting mobile applications on iOS and/or Android platforms
  • Familiarity with UPS and fire / life / safety systems
  • General Building - doors & hardware, furniture & hardware, bulletin boards, etc
  • Troubleshooting - diagnosing problems, taking meter readings, referring to manufacturer specifications
  • Oversight of subcontractors as needed
  • Ability to work outdoors
  • Self-starter
  • Customer interface (communications, problem-solving, work prioritization & scheduling)
  • English language required (Bilingual preferred)

Schedule:
Full time; Day shift, Monday through Friday. Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
Salary:
Based on experience, plus benefits.
