Job Description:The client is seeking an experienced Mainframe Support Engineer to provide enterprise support, maintenance, modernization, and migration services for mission-critical legacy mainframe systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ADABAS, Natural, COBOL, CICS, JCL, SQL Server, SSIS, and enterprise data migration initiatives, while supporting modernization efforts involving CRM Dynamics 365, ARCHIBUS, and ACRES platform transitions. The role will focus on maintaining legacy mainframe systems while assisting in enterprise modernization, data migration, integration, and production support initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, administer, and support enterprise legacy IPIS mainframe applications and operational environments.
  • Provide production support, troubleshooting, and operational maintenance for mission-critical systems.
  • Extract, process, transform, and migrate data from mainframe systems using ADABAS, Natural, COBOL, CICS, VSAM, JCL, TSO, and IBM utilities.
  • Support enterprise data migration initiatives involving SQL Server, SSIS, CRM/Dynamics 365, ARCHIBUS, and ACRES systems.
  • Design and support data loading, integration, and synchronization activities between legacy and modern platforms.
  • Utilize KingswaySoft, Azure, Git, Visual Studio, and SSIS to support enterprise migration and modernization efforts.
  • Perform system analysis, root cause analysis, incident troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, business requirement gathering, and modernization planning initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture artifacts, data mappings, data flow diagrams, and operational support documentation.
  • Support enterprise testing, release management, deployment activities, and production transitions.
  • Participate in weekly status meetings and collaborate with technical teams, vendors, consultants, and business stakeholders.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with ADABAS, Natural, COBOL, CICS, VSAM, JCL, TSO, and mainframe environments.
  • Experience working with SQL Server, SQL development, and SSIS-based data migration.
  • Experience supporting CRM/Dynamics 365 integrations and enterprise migration initiatives.
  • Experience using IBM utilities including IDCAMS, SORT, File Manager, and related tools.
  • Experience with Azure, Git, Visual Studio, and enterprise integration technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, production support, and technical documentation skills.
  • Experience supporting legacy modernization and enterprise transition initiatives.
