Job Title: Mainframe Production Support

Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ

Duration: Longย Term (around 3 years)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Production Support Engineer to support critical enterprise applications in a 24/7 production environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues while ensuring system stability and SLA compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

ยท Monitor daily batch jobs and online systems using tools like Control-M and SDSF

ยท Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, abends, and job failures in a timely manner

ยท Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues

ยท Provide L2/L3 support for mainframe applications

ยท Work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution

ยท Handle incident, problem, and change management through tools like ServiceNow or JIRA

ยท Support deployment activities and validate post-production releases

ยท Maintain documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures

ยท Participate in on-call rotation and provide off-hours support when required

Required Skills:

ยท Strong experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2

ยท Hands-on experience with TSO/ISPF, SDSF

ยท Knowledge of job scheduling tools like Control-M / CA-7

ยท Experience in handling production support (L2/L3)
