Job description

The Mary Pappert School of Music Main Office is seeking two motivated and reliable Work Study students to serve as Main Office Assistants. This is a front-facing role, and students will be the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors who come through the office. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting guests at the front desk, answering and directing incoming phone calls and emails, sorting and distributing mail, and performing general clerical tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing. Assistants will also help prepare materials and documents, support staff with special projects and event preparation, assist with data entry, and complete other duties as assigned.

Applicants should be currently enrolled Duquesne University students with an active Summer Federal Work Study award. We are looking for dependable, punctual, and professional individuals with strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a busy office environment. Basic computer proficiency is required. Applicants must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Prior office or customer service experience and an interest in music or the arts are a plus.
