Supply and Mail Services Assistant (SAMS) / Records Specialist

Location: Madison, WI

Pay Rate: $19.25 per hour

Position Summary

The Supply and Mail Services Assistant (SAMS) / Records Specialist provides critical administrative support, ensuring accurate processing of mail, records, and agency documentation. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a structured, in-office environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, shipments, and deliveries (UPS, FedEx, etc.)
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain records within agency systems
  • Scan, index, and manage documents using imaging and workflow software
  • Conduct research and resolve record discrepancies or inquiries
  • Maintain organized filing systems and ensure accurate recordkeeping
  • Support internal teams with administrative and operational tasks
  • Operate mailroom and office equipment (copiers, scanners, postage systems)
  • Assist with supply management and distribution across departments

Required Qualifications
