Material Handler - Shipping & Receiving

Wolverine Solutions Group is looking for high-quality personnel to expand our business and contribute to our full-service document management company, specializing in direct mail production and document management services. We provide customized, cutting-edge solutions for document execution, hard copy or electronic, for our clientele in both local and national markets.

Summary: Support all areas by continually stocking workstations with proper materials for each individual job. Works with supervisors, warehouse, shipping, and receiving and other department personnel in transporting materials to proper areas before, during, and after a job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Willingly accepts the direction of supervisor/assistant.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to requests for additional materials.
  • Always confirm stock codes to ensure correct material is being used.
  • Weigh and verify receipt of customer goods per customer requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation control through accurate data input and following receiving procedures.
  • Day shift stock personnel must request adequate supplies for afternoon shift.
  • Be sure each skid of completed material is identified correctly.
  • Transport all overstock immediately after job is complete to designated area.
  • Work cooperatively with area supervisor to achieve maximum production.
  • Ability to operate hand and electric powered pallet jacks.
  • General cleanup of work areas.
  • Package and prepare Fulfillment deliveries per packing slip.
  • Help with UPS shipping and act as their back up.
  • Follow rules and regulations outlined in Associate Handbook.

Must be proactive in assisting supervisor, monitoring quality, and have the ability to communicate effectively with all management personnel in regard to production problems associated with mailing material, equipment and personnel.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, associate is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, stoop, and occasionally kneel or crouch. The associate must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities require close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Experience and Background:

High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 1 year factory-related experience.
