Communication Desk Assistant II Experience Level: Entry to Mid-Level Location: Birmingham, AL Contract- 3 Years Client- Alabama Power Position Overview The Communication Desk Assistant II provides administrative and coordination support for safety communications, presentations, and outreach initiatives. This role supports event scheduling, maintains communication logs and metrics, manages customer surveys, and ensures smooth day-to-day communication operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Event Coordination & Scheduling Coordinate and schedule safety presentations and related events Maintain detailed event logs and tracking metrics Support program reporting and performance tracking Communication Monitoring Monitor communication channels including: Email, Phone, Online service requests Respond to inquiries or route requests appropriately Documentation & Reporting Create and manage: Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations Record and compile customer survey data Maintain accurate records and organized filing systems Administrative & Operational Support Pack and mail materials (light lifting required) Provide general administrative support to communications and safety teams Assist with updating program materials and internal resources Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in: Business, Communications, Education, Marketing Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong customer service skills
