Job description
Mahal Bros Transport is a fast-growing produce carrier operating across all 48 states. We’re looking for a hands-on Safety & Compliance Manager who can take ownership of our safety program, protect our CSA score, and keep our operation running clean and compliant.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who knows DOT/FMCSA inside and out and isn’t afraid to hold drivers and staff accountable.
What You’ll Do
- Own and manage all DOT/FMCSA compliance
- Monitor CSA scores, inspections, and violations
- Oversee ELDs, logbooks, and Hours of Service
- Hire, onboard, and manage drivers
- Investigate accidents, claims, and handle disputes
- Prepare for and manage DOT audits
- Oversee fleet safety and maintenance compliance
- Track fuel usage and identify inefficiencies
- Lead safety meetings and conduct regular safety training for drivers and shop staff
- Review driver performance (monthly/quarterly) and enforce accountability
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years in trucking safety & compliance
- Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Experience managing CSA scores, audits, and violations
- Leadership mindset – not afraid to enforce standards
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Class A license is preferred.
