As a Security Guard and member of the Security and Safety department, a food service division at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. This position is responsible for the security and safety of Lyons Magnus employees, related properties, production, and activities. This position reports to the Security Manager.


Pay Range: $16.90 per hour

Shift: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Position Type: Full Time

Duration: Long term


Core Responsibilities:

  • Access Control: Monitor and manage entry/exit points for personnel, visitors, and vehicles; verify identification and documentation.
  • Surveillance: Operate CCTV systems, monitor alarms, and conduct visual inspections to identify and report suspicious activity.
  • Visitor Management: Greet and assist visitors professionally, providing directions and maintaining visitor logs.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, accidents, or security incidents; document and report as per protocol.
  • Patrolling: Conduct regular checks of the immediate area to ensure safety and identify potential hazards or breaches.
  • Professional Representation: Maintain a polished appearance and courteous demeanor as the first point of contact for visitors.
  • Traffic Control: Manage vehicle flow, direct traffic, and ensure compliance with parking and delivery policies.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records, including shift logs, incident reports, and equipment inspections.
  • Deterrence: Establish a visible presence to discourage unauthorized activities or breaches.
  • Compliance Enforcement: Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and security protocols.

Requirements


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of radios, camera systems, emergency procedures
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred but not mandatory
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience in completing reports/investigations with strong attention to detail


Education and/or Experience

  • Associates degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of general experience in security, law enforcement preferred.
  • Understanding of federal, state and local requirements, including OSHA
  • MUST HAVE GUARD CARD.
