Job description

Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a CNC Operator - 3rd Shift at our Mooresville, North Carolina manufacturing facility. In this role, you will set up, operate, troubleshoot, and adjust CNC equipment to support precision, productivity, and consistent product quality. You will also use blueprints and gaging tools, contribute to process improvements, and help guide less-experienced operators.

  • Location: Mooresville, NC

  • Work Arrangement: On-site

  • Schedule: 3rd Shift, 9:45 PM-6:00 AM

  • Pay: $21 - $24 per hour (depending on skills and experience)

  • Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

What You'll Do as a CNC Operator
  • Set up and operate assigned CNC and mechanical equipment to support productivity, precision, and product quality.

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, adjustments, and programming to address machine issues and improve performance.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and work instructions.

  • Conduct quality-control checks using required gaging instruments.

  • Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area according to 5S standards.

  • Follow applicable safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

  • Support continuous process improvements and help mentor junior operators.

What You'll BringRequired Qualifications
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and address complex equipment or process issues.

  • Working knowledge of CNC operations and related processes.

  • Ability to interpret work instructions, blueprints, and engineering specifications.

  • Intermediate mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to properly use and apply required gaging instruments.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • This role involves standing for extended periods.

  • Employees in this role repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Frequent bending and stooping are required.

  • The position requires the dexterity to handle small objects.

  • The manufacturing environment may include significant noise.
