Job Summary
Under the direction of engineering staff, supports all phases of the manufacturing process, including the setup, operation, testing, and maintenance of rubber molding equipment, tools, and machinery. Assists in process development and troubleshooting, participates in engineering trials, and provides operator training to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production.
Job Duties
  • Perform work associated with automation improvements, new plant layouts, installation, calibration and operation of production machines
  • Set up, adjust and operate machinery in support of the production process, as needed
  • Test and inspect machines to determine safe and efficient operation, perform routine maintenance and fix standard malfunctions
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and shop order to determine machine setup, production methods and sequence of operation
  • Devise, fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components for products, such as machinery or equipment and measuring instruments
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education
  • Perform work under direct supervision
  • Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff
  • Possess beginning to working knowledge of rubber injection molding
  • Require accreditation from a technical school or applicable skilled trades program and 0 to 2 years of experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) for communication, documentation, and data analysis.
