Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing sales activities, customer relationships, and business development efforts within an assigned geographic region for EMAG L.L.C. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying new business opportunities, supporting existing customers, and promoting the company’s machine tool, automation, and manufacturing solutions.

The Regional Sales Manager works closely with customers, distributors, engineering, project management, and leadership teams to develop strategic sales plans, coordinate proposals, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales and project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions

(Included but not limited to the following)

• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve sales targets, profitability goals, and business growth objectives

• Manage and develop relationships with customers, distributors, and strategic partners within the assigned region

• Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs within targeted industries and territories

• Conduct customer visits, presentations, technical discussions, and sales meetings to promote EMAG products and services

• Coordinate with engineering, project management, manufacturing, and service teams to support customer requirements and project execution

• Prepare and present quotations, proposals, pricing, and commercial agreements to customers

• Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions with customers and business partners

• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, customer activity records, and reporting within company systems

• Participate in trade shows, industry events, customer demonstrations, and business development activities

• Monitor competitor activity, market conditions, and industry developments to support strategic planning initiatives

• Support customer satisfaction by assisting with project follow-up, issue resolution, and post-sale support coordination

• Collaborate with global EMAG teams regarding customer opportunities, technical support, and strategic initiatives as needed

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and customer requirements

• Travel extensively within assigned regions and internationally as business needs require

• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Required Knowledge & Technical Skills

• Strong sales, business development, and customer relationship management skills

• Strong understanding of manufacturing, industrial automation, machine tool, or capital equipment industries preferred

• Experience with industry Sales Systems preferred

• Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans and territory management strategies

• Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills

• Ability to analyze customer requirements and coordinate technical and commercial solutions effectively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word

• Experience with CRM and ERP systems such as SAP preferred

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple customer and distributor accounts and priorities simultaneously

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Continuous improvement mindset and customer-focused approach

• General knowledge and familiarity with ISO 14001 and 9001 concepts preferred

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field preferred

• 5+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience required

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, machine tools, or capital equipment industries preferred

• Experience managing regional sales territories, distributors, and customer accounts preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times

• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required

Physical/Mental/Environment Demands

• Must be able to lift/move up to 25 lbs occasionally

• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, travel, reach, and use hands/fingers for computer and office equipment operation

• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustment

• Ability to manage customer demands, deadlines, negotiations, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Position may require overtime, evenings, weekends, customer dinners, or extensive travel depending on business needs

• Work is performed in office, manufacturing, customer, and trade show environments

• Domestic and international travel may be required
