Where You’ll Work
This is a region-based role primarily supporting customers across North and South Carolina. You’ll operate remotely from within the area and travel frequently by car or airplane to customer sites.
A Day in the Life
Start your morning reviewing overnight performance data and customer notes. Then you’re on the road to a shop floor where a new EMAG CNC automation solution is ready to be commissioned. You bring the line to life, verify to spec, and coach operators on safe, efficient operation. Midday, you diagnose an intermittent electrical fault at another site, teaming with engineering and customer service to expedite parts and resolution. You capture findings, update service records, and translate lessons learned into improvements—maybe even a new service bulletin. Before day’s end, you schedule on-the-job training for a customer team and debrief EMAG stakeholders to ensure everyone is aligned.
What You’ll Do
- Install, commission, and verify new or modified CNC and automation equipment to meet specifications.
- Triage customer issues by reviewing reports, documentation, and on-site inspections to determine problem scope and root cause.
- Recommend and execute corrective actions—repair, replace, or adjust—while coordinating closely with engineering and customer service.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical assistance at customer facilities.
- Maintain accurate service and performance records; analyze trends to drive product and process improvements.
- Create or update service handbooks, bulletins, and training content informed by field findings and engineering changes.
- Deliver training on safe equipment operation to customers and EMAG team members.
- Act as a trusted liaison between customers and EMAG, ensuring clear, timely communication.
- Uphold safety and housekeeping standards; represent EMAG professionally on every visit.
Qualifications

- Effective collaborator in group troubleshooting; calm, professional presence with customers—even in high-pressure situations.

- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and basic knowledge of ISO 14001.
